Hello,

I think its very safe to say that 2017 has been the year of the loot box/micro transaction style gambling. Recently numerous government bodies have came out of the woodwork to state that these in game loot-box purchases is considered gambling as it contains random elements associated with gambling. I personally think that it should be time for government bodies to make all games that contain this method of gambling 18+. Why? Well in the UK all TV adverts and media prints have to give 18+ warnings as well as having the say 'When the fun stops. STOP.'

Games like Shadow of War, Star Wars Battlefront 2 etc all contain gambling that is linked to easy progression and many kids etc can play these games. I think therefore it is imperative that not only should they be made 18+ automatically but in game warnings and caps should be placed on these games. Minors and Adults a like can be swayed into this style of gambling and I now think it is the duty of government and developers to put the consumers mental health first and implement what I've suggested.
