The only game I did this with was MAG. I bought it just to play with a friends of mine and then before I even played we got in a huge fight after some stupidness and he acted all girly and wouldn't talk to me for a while. I honestly didn't even really want to play it to begin with so it just sat on my shelf where it still is now. I guess I should have just returned it, but I didn't and by the time I thought of that it was way too late. Then once he got over acting like being a girl we still never even played the silly game!

    Halo Reach.

I'm an FPS guy and I need to stick to what I'm good at. Anything else just bores me and I quit easily. I need bullets flying or live, real-time human on human strategy and gameplay to keep me interested.

I don't think my collection is that big, but I only have one game I never played. Mass Effect is a game I never played, I purchased 1 and 2 too. I don't know why I never got around to playing one of these games, I think it is because of the space aspect of the game. It is just not exciting to me at all.

What, why would you buy a game and not play it?
If you start playing a game and then stop because you didn't like it, that's fine, but not playing it at all? Weird.

I wouldn't say I ever bought a game then NEVER played it, but I've picked up a game only to stop playing it after only a couple hours of gameplay. The ones that are still sitting there collecting dust are Ni No Kuni, Arkham Asylum, and the Mass Effect Trilogy. All GREAT games, I know, I just haven't had the time or motivation to sit through them. I did get halfway through Ni No Kuni though - I might actually finish it now that I'm talking about it!

Assassin's Creed 2 and Killzone 3 (I've only played the second one for an hour or so at this point) are mine. I also haven't played any of the DLC that came with Borderland GOTY edition.

I bought both FFX-2 and FFXII, but never really played the. Well, I played the, but didn't get very far. I only put a couple hours into each of those before putting them down.

I played most of the games that I've bought. Though, there was a game that my cousin bought for my birthday which I never played. The game was Damnation! Lol!

    The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind
    Fallout 3

Now this is an odd assortment because I love these kinds of games. I am a big fan of the older games in the Fallout series, as well as the Elder Scrolls titles. I've completed Skyrim (who hasn't played this amazing title?). But for some reason, I just can't seem to get in to either one of these games.

In fact I have Abadox game that has stayed for not less than 7 years since my mom bought it for me. By then I was just a little kid and I didn’t love the idea of sharing my mom-given gifts with anyone then I had this cousin of ours who had come to stay with us. So after staying for about six years I waiting to see him go he didn’t so I had to keep still my game. He only left last year but one after he got married and by then I was just not into the mood of playing this game thence it is still resting under my cupboard.

At Least 30 games on my steam library. Those prices are too damn low.

I am always buying games for my husband and most if them I never play because they never catch my attention. The type of games that I like are zombie games. You can give them to me at any time. But it is money well spent.

God of War III. I watched a friend play it though, and looked kinda cool, but way too button mashy for my tastes. I guess if you're invested in the lore or story it could have it's moments, though.

Can not say there are very many games that I bought that I just have not gotten a chance to play it at some point, the closest though would have to be Dead Island and Revelations simply because they became boring quite fast.

I have quite a few unfortunately. My husband and I bought them during a Boxing Day sale but we still haven't played a lot of them. Killzone 2, Dragon Age 1 & 2, Heavenly Sword, Devil May Cry Collection, etc. There's some other games that he's played and I haven't gotten around to yet, such as the Uncharted series, Kingdoms of Amalur - Reckoning and so on!

The closest I've gotten to not playing a game is buying collections or bundles.

Case in point: Sega Mega Drive (or Genesis) Collection. I bought it mainly for Sonic, Streets of Rage and Golden Axe - most of the other games just happened to be there. With no interest, some of them were never loaded up.

I don't have a lot of money to throw at games these days, but even when I did, I'd always do research before buying a game, meaning I'd always at least try them. There were a few that I ended up not liking (Assassin's Creed 3 was a huge disappointment, though I should probably have started with an earlier game in the series) but they're always played before being disregarded.

    I just thought of another.

I had set a personal goal to myself for this year. I was going to either:

    - learn to play guitar
    - learn a new language
    - get my life and health insurance license

The cheapest option was guitar so i went and got a guitar, then discovered rocksmith.

I played it a couple of times and got frustrated, now the guitar is a decoration in my computer room. I think it may not be too late to get my life and health license yet.

I stayed at a friends house for a week and we played Fallout the entire time. I loved it and so I went and purchased it for myself. However after I bought it, I realized that I pretty much saturated my enjoyment of the game back when I played my friends copy at his house. Kind of a waste of money in my opinion. But still. I suppose that if I had really enjoyed the game I would have wanted to play it on my own, but I just returned it to the store. I had fun playing it with my friend, but I didn't really have much desire to play it on my own.

I bought Gran Turismo 5 thinking I would love it like I loved Gran Turismo 2, but I just couldn't get into it at all. I've played it a couple of times, but after a race or two it just gets really boring. It's a good game, but I just can't get into it the way I got hooked to previous GTs.

If I had one of those expensive responsive steering wheels with pedals and maybe even a gearbox and driver seat then I'm sure it's a hundred times better, but right now I have a lot of other things I need to buy.

Then there's also TES: Oblivion which was given to me by a friend (he only paid like 3 for it) and I played it a few times, but I already played it on PC before that, and I'm not a fan of TES games anyway, so I haven't played that longer than a couple of hours.

Just cause 2 was one game that I really tried to play but the graphics how unrealistic the experience was just seemed to turn me away from the game so I ended up giving it away before I even had the chance to really get into the game. I think another reason that I gave the game away was because it used to stick in a certain area of the game and that really used to annoy me so I just ended up giving the game away.

Not counting those games I posted about eight months ago, I have MGS: GZ, Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider: definitive edition, Ryse, Titanfall (Don't have an X1), Skyrim (got the legendary edition and played that one), Two copies of Xenoblade Chronicles.

We even have some consoles here that's not been opened lol
